M.O.O.D.L.E. stands for "Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment." Moodle is an open source course management system, originally developed by Martin Dougiamas. It is used by thousands of educational institutions around the world to provide an organized interface for e-learning, or learning over the Internet.

AP Studio Art: Drawing is designed primarily for the advanced level art student who is preparing a portfolio for art school admission requirements, scholarships, and possible Advanced Placement credit. Every student is required to create and compile a portfolio based on the Advanced Placement guidelines for Studio Art.


Students who are interested in illustration or advancing their general drawing skills should take this course. Students will apply unique, individual and advanced visual design techniques. Students will experiment with diverse media and techniques.

This course introduces student to the Art Elements, Principles of Design and their relationship to visual art making. A variety of artists, media, and techniques will be explored. Students will also be analyzing other artist’s artwork, along with their own, through a systematic discussion known as Art Criticism.


Students will explore the different mediums available to create 3-dimensional artwork. Glass, plaster, recycled items, foam board, and other mediums will be used. Students will be expected to research famous sculptors. Most work will be done independently, but small groups will occasionally create large pieces.
